MOUNTAIN BIKE
The Lot Valley and Vineyards present a gentle landscape dotted with attractive bastides such as Castelfranc, plus the imposing castle of Bonaguil and the mediaeval city of Cahors, « City of Art and History ».
It's also the perfect place to find out about the subtleties of Cahors wines, to do a spot of bargain hunting on the antiques markets of Grézels and Duravel, or for exploring the superb village of Puy L’Evêque.
To explore this valley at your own pace, the best plan is to get on your bike or hire one !
This part of the Lot Valley is crossed by a 160 km long cycle route which is ideal for people who enjoy exploring in a leisurely way, whether they're interested in local culture, food and wine or meeting people. The itinerary is signposted, there is only a small difference in altitude and the traffic is far from being dense (but the route is nevertheless shared with cars). From your vantage point in the saddle, you can watch the landscape unfold gently before you.
