From the circuit of the Causse de Lauriol, the view embraces a green valley. This is the Limargue, a long fertile strip rarely more than 10 km wide which stretches from Villefranche-de-Rouergue to Turenne. This natural region, sandwiched between the causses and foothills of the Massif Central, contrasts as much with the mineral drought of the former as with the dark elevations of the Ségala that can be seen opposite.
